“12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.”
1 Corinthians 2:12-13
There is a spirit called the spirit of the world – just as we discussed the spirit of bondage as referenced in Romans 8:15. But as a believer of Christ, what we have is the Spirit that is from God, so we can know the things that are ours from God. These are the free things that Christ has already paid for in order to make this life successful for us. We cannot make it without the help of the Holy Spirit.
God, in His wisdom, knows that we cannot travel this journey of life without the abiding presence of His Spirit. Our strength, wisdom, or other personal effort will not make a tangible difference without the assistance of the Holy Spirit.
The Spirit of God is your teacher. Let Him show you all things and help you make the best out of your divine purpose. Without Him you are limited; but with Him nothing is impossible.
Without a true intimacy with the Holy Spirit, life remains a struggle and will always be unpredictable. The good news is that you can reach out to the Holy Spirit to show you what is yours; and to teach you the things that you have no clue about.
Do not let anything cheat you out of the fullness of this intimacy with the Holy Spirit. God already made the provision; but it is your responsibility to seek the help of the Holy Spirit. Pursue Him like never before and see how good God is to you.
