God’s Deposit.

I think that at the end of our time here on earth, for those who will leave before Jesus returns, our biggest regret would be realizing that we have many untapped potentials. Either that or the revelation that we did not accomplish what we were meant to do here on earth. This will be a very devastating summary of our time spent on earth. I doubt that God will be pleased with the fact that we wasted the abilities and potentials He gave us to put to work.

At that time, it will all be useless because our potentials will not be required or of use wherever we will be.I am sure there have been many occasions where we have all seen or watched people do something amazing with their gifts and/or abilities. We were able to see them to that because they discovered what they are good at. In other words, we benefited from their discovery of themselves. And others can benefit from your discovery of yourself too. You just have to fully grasp how important God’s deposits in you are. And by deposits I mean your potentials, talents, and gifts. We cannot fail to realize the authenticity of what we carry as an individual.

Even if you don’t really know what you have now or what you carry, you have to believe that you have something that the world will need to see.
There was a story in the bible about a city that was besieged. A poor wise man lived in that city and he delivered it from the attackers. But no one acknowledged him because he was poor. So what is the essence of wisdom that lacks influence? The point here is his wisdom was not influential enough for him to be recognized. This story is a reflection of us as individuals. What is the purpose of our time on earth if we cannot influence the world with what we’ve been given?  If our efforts cannot change the way people do things because we lack influence then what we have is missing some important elements.

Some of us are spiritually sound, but we just need to also pay attention to building and cultivating our abilities and potentials. We get confused with the difference between spiritual exercise and the importance of discovering our abilities. If we are to turn the world right side up, we need both. I will be the first to agree with you that being spiritually bankrupt is deadly; but to be mentally poor and socially unfit is also a great failure. Whenever we are missing spiritual soundness, mental prowess, or social relational skills, we remain like the poor wise man without influence. No one will care to acknowledge us.

It is essential that we know our mission here on earth. Have you asked yourself why are you here? If you can answer this question then you are on your way to discovering the unique abilities in you needed to accomplish what you are here for. Your mission on earth is the REASON or PURPOSE for why you are here. Your talents and abilities are the internal help and resources given to you to begin your journey.

When you begin with what is within, then you will attract external support. Just as the purpose of light is to shine from its source and then its brightness attracts and influences the environment. Whatever you have in you, whether it be revelations, ideas, gifts or talents, is unique for the purpose of your life and others. We all have to re-examine ourselves and give voice to everything we have on the inside. Do something with your gifts, ideas, and abilities to make them speak for generations. This is what people will know, respect, and remember you for.

The truth is we all have something that is more glorious than we can ever imagine. David, in Psalm 73 verse 3, said he was envious of the prosperity of the wicked until he discovered that his purpose in life was more enviable. And the same goes for you. Your life is unique and much better than those you are admiring or envying. WE HAVE TO BE ABLE TO SEE THE BEAUTIFUL LIFE WE HAVE. Until we discover and see who we really are we won’t appreciate the deposits of God in us. David was the most celebrated Kings in Israel; even Jesus Christ himself is called the son of David. And to think that at a point in time, David was actually envious of some people whose names we don’t even know today.

The problem remains that we are not seeing what we have in us. We tend to see ourselves less than we really are. Our journey has not begun until we have an accurate picture of who we are and what we have as potentials. How far can anyone go with their eyes closed before walking into something or walking off their path? Not so far. It’s should be our main obligation to not only understand our mission but to also find out the gifts, abilities, and potentials we have. The world is waiting to see and hear from you is not just a saying; it is the honest truth. However, what they want to see is not your complexion or your picture; it is your discovery. In other words, what you are on earth for is what the world needs to see and benefit from.

Everything God gave us makes us unique; and they are there to help us fulfill our purpose here on earth. As long as we keep searching and working to ensure we fully realize them, we will definitely be successful. What would be pathetic is being clueless of our God given gifts and potentials. Therefore, discovering them has to be our number one priority. Everyone has something to offer the world; a gift, talent or ideas. All of these are just waiting to be discovered.
