We see the world as we do because we really don’t have an option. It is how we are conditioned. But the only solution is to change our paradigm.
Remember we cannot change reality; but we have to know what it is and see it for what it is. If you don’t know your reality you cannot make changes where necessary. Understanding reality is to see things exactly the way they are and not the way we have been misinformed or think. It will baffle your mind that most of the things we have learned and believed, which have formed the basis of our interpretation of life and circumstances, are not true. Nonetheless, we hold those beliefs very high in our hearts and they inevitably channel the course of our lives despite their erroneous concepts.
What I know about you is that we face a similar dilemma because of our views of reality. We allow our past to define our present and this makes it difficult to truly believe how great our potentials are. We get stuck in the past and fail to allow new concepts take effect in us. This is something we all do; we accept the status quo while we yearn and long for change. But we have become extremely cautious to make the right moves required to to see the changes we desire. As we allow the fear of failure to hold us down, we give up immediately we encounter any obstacles on our journey.
We cannot be successful by giving up on our pursuit in life. Our approach to life must be as someone with no alternative but to succeed. We need to learn to burn our bridges so we have no opportunity to go back. As long as we have an alternative to rely on, we will always second guess ourselves. And in doing so, we destroy the possibility to create the future. If we want to fulfill our destiny, we must never have an alternative to resort to. We must only have one purpose; and that is fulfilling our God-given destiny.
What we have been given is too precious to waste or ignore. We have greatness in us of which we are the sole custodian. It is a treasure that the world needs to see; but we have to birth it first, even if it costs us everything we have. The emergence of our potentials is not an option; it is a core aspect of God’s kingdom (Matthew 6:10-11). Failure to realize this truth is more or less evil.
What I know about myself is also true about others when it comes to the principles of life and the challenges we face. Our past is part of what shapes our current mentality. And until we can separate ourselves from that past, which sometimes seems impossible, we would not catch up with our present reality. Our inability to see things the right way is due to us using the lens of our past to view our current state. The indelible marks of the past will not help us trust the process for the future. Since we all have our past, present, and future, what we do with our current self is what the future will bring to us. The future is built on the paradigm of today. If you can change seeing life from your current situation, and start seeing it from the perspective of God, your story will shake the world.
I know your story just like I know mine. We share the same breath of the Almighty God and His generosity to us is part of the life He created for us. What the future holds is determined by what we do with today. And one of the realities of today is how we project our current situations and how we see ourselves.
It is actually hard work to change how we see ourselves. How God sees us is not just the casual way we have always imagined ourselves. Some of us have nations attached to our purpose, and others have some of the highest level of ingenuity that the world has ever seen. We need to see exactly what God is seeing in us; and I tell you this is possible through diligence.
Without diligence, you may never discover what your potential is and you may never maximize the potentials you have discovered. Greatly unique ideas are in your heart; you only need to believe in yourself. Your idea is a gift that you need to pay attention to. It is your wealth clothed as a seed. Honor that idea by pursuing it and see it come to pass. It may not be easy, but it will be worth it. The people you are busy admiring are really not better than you. What attracts you to them is the light they shine; and you can shine your own light too and become an attraction for others.
I know you. Yes, I do. I know there is greatness inside of you that you have not yet figured out. You have some idea about it, but not a full comprehension of the extent of the greatness or how it will all play out. It is how we see and what we see that will determine how we live and who we become. I see a new you emerge to honor God with an amazing new story of your greatness as a result of seeing yourself as God sees you. Amen.
