God – The Pilot to Trust.

“Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; He’s the one who will keep you on track.”  Proverbs 3:5-7 (The Message).

In the month of July, I traveled across the globe and returned home the first week of August. As I traveled, I thought about the hours I spent in the air, flying over the oceans from one continent to another. While I had no clue who the pilots flying these planes were, or their ability to successfully fly the plane to the various destinations, I was confident and not worried about their capabilities.

Although I had committed my journey into the hands of the Lord, I also had to trust Him to take care of the pilots, so they can do the right thing.  What was now required of m, throughout the course of the journey, was to pay attention to and abide with all the guidance from the flight crew.

The bible verse above says to trust in the Lord from the bottom of our hearts. The passengers on any flight are not responsible for the operation of the plane; and have no need to check what the pilots are doing in the cockpit while flying the plane. The same applies to us; especially when God is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, and the Pilot of our every plane. We do not need to try to figure out things by ourselves when God is in charge. Just as we listen to the flight crew for instructions, is the same way we need to listen to God in the journey of life.

The voice of the Lord is our assurance and a powerful coverage during our journey. Whenever God speaks, the universe stands in awe of His command. The Psalmist tells of the magnificent power in the voice of the Lord in Psalm 29. His voice is powerful and creates amazing wonders that we currently see in the entire universe. It is absolute wisdom to follow His voice which will always keep us on track.

Lastly, in an excerpt from a personal prophesy, the Lord said, “My ways are not difficult; but when men entangle themselves with the affairs of life, they find it challenging to yield to My Holy Spirit. My ways are easy. The path to rest is what I provide, but only a few receive it and are willing to follow that path. The path I set for each one is unique and not difficult; but to maintain the path they need to abide in Me, so I can lead and take them through it…”

When we trust Him there is an assurance that we will get to our rightful destinations as He pilots our lives.
