Don’t Get Shut Down with The System

The government shut down is the biggest showdown between the United States President and the members of the Democratic side of the house. It is a controversial issue rooted in immigration and border security policy. The United States President is asking for over $5 billion to build a wall for border security so as to stop illegal immigrants from the southern border; but the Democrats are not willing to give in to that request. The President has therefore refused to keep the government running if his demands are not met. Obviously this shut down of the government is affecting government employees’ pay and their livelihood.

Freedom is a must and it is non-negotiable. Our source of sustenance shouldn’t depend on anyone besides God. We should be self-sufficient without allowing the systems of the world to control our lives. A wise man once said that a salary is the bribe to stop people from pursuing their dreams. I couldn’t agree more with that statement. It is like someone who has the potential to be a star but chooses to be one of the fans.  When we get paid, we feel the joy and satisfaction that we are earning an income, but we fail to realize that our income is the price we receive for not following our dreams. There is the need for freedom from earning a salary to starting to pursue our dreams.  Remember, “Your dream is a credential to a perfect future.”

There is a lesson for us all to learn wherever we are and whatever it is we do. If we are at the mercy of a system that can turn on or turn off the means of our sustenance, we are not yet free. One of life’s necessities is freedom from any system we depend on for survival. What is the plan for our survival if the economy fails? If the system collapses today what will people do to get by? We need to remember that the system is man-made with no guarantees; and it can fail us at any point in time. How prepared are we to face the challenges of being independent of the system?

Some of us have the potential to be self-sustaining, but our fear is our greatest enemy. As long as we continue to harbor fear it will incapacitate us and stop us from taking that first step to becoming self-sufficient. Initiating a change always requires stepping out in faith. And confidence in our ability is also very important. If you don’t believe in yourself no one will. Faith in your ability, ideas, revelations, and strength is your strongest ally. Faith in God is also a major prerequisite to accomplishing anything in life. Without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Faith will always silence our fears and keep us moving forward in the pursuit of our dreams.

It is the life we build and the dreams we pursue that will preserve us when the systems or economy of the world collapses. I want to encourage you today to get at your dreams and to not ignore your purpose in life; because what you build is what will preserve you. Do not let this year go by without taking one significant step towards your dreams and purpose in life. Your dream is your pathway to a certain future. Those that have big dreams today will lead the future!

Freedom is therefore quintessential in living our true lives. There are two experiences in life that often leads to decision making: Pain or Regret. We can go through the pain of transitioning from our current status to pursuing our dreams and becoming free from the system and self-sustaining. Or we can wait and take no action regarding our dream and regret that we have wasted time and opportunity. I think the right decision is facing the fear, taking the risk and enduring the pain to pursue our dreams as soon as we know what they are. Our freedom and the fulfillment that comes with it are worth it.

Our Vision

This ministry has a vision to raise people that will know the true God and have true relationships with him according to John 17:3 – “Now this is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.”

Last year we extended our outreach to students at the University of Texas-El Paso. We also conducted a Life Impact Seminar, which is a transformational teaching that has its basis in Classical Prophetic Revelation (CPR). This year we are preparing to conduct 12 Seminars; as well as other impacting outreaches as the Lord leads.

Every great thing that impacts the world starts small and can sometimes seem insignificant; just like the birth of the Lord Jesus in a manger. It will only take the wise to know what God is doing and where. We are proud of our little beginning and trust God to fulfill His purpose. We would like you to partner with us as we continue this great journey of raising souls for the kingdom.

God has promised us men and women of great integrity, great caliber, and great unction to support the ministry. If you are one of those, we pray the Holy Spirit will show you how best to support the ministry. You can visit http://spiritoftruthandfaith.org/donate to financially support the ministry.
