One of my mentors taught on concentrating and living for one main thing. Just as David penned in Psalm 27:4 that he desired one thing and that is to seek God’s presence. Jesus also established the same truth when He said the first thing is to seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and every other thing will align together (Matthew 6:33). In other words, there are things that are important; but they are not the priority. We live in a world where everything is important. Our phones, religious activities, family and friends, the time we spend investing in ourselves spiritually, mentally and socially. Likewise, we place a priority on our finance; which is why we work hard to sustain ourselves. But one thing will always take priority; and that is God. If you don’t have scheduled time with God, all other investments are futile.
The main focus is God. And nothing else can take His place.
Why is seeking God a priority? Because in God is that one purpose you were created to live for. It is in His presence you get established. His presence is the place of the discovery of the blueprints of nations, generations, and your life as well.
The mysteries that humans are yet to discover are all in God; and there is nothing without Him. It takes a mature heart to understand that every thing that competes for our time are non-essentials; especially if they are not centered in God.
I will encourage you to spend more time in God’s presence to find out His plans for you. He wants you are to find rest, preservation, and success. The world is in total chaos; the enemy continues to challenge everything that is good; attempting to change the normal to abnormal in order to create more chaos and confusion. There is no alternative to making God’s presence one’s priority. He is the only source of peace and assurance for the world.
God’s presence is unfathomable. One moment with God is time spent in eternity.
Seeking God’s presence is what will expose the truth and define our reality. Without God, we can do nothing. Life will always be questionable without God; and it will only be a matter of time before we become a liability when we go through life without God who is our source. True success and accomplishment in life are in God only. At the end of it all, if our success is void of God’s principles, purpose, and mandate, it is worthless because it will be lacking God’s seal of approval.
I have therefore resolved to seek one thing and one thing only, and that is God. My purpose is to cultivate the seed that He gave me by making Him my priority. The one thing we all need to seek and live for is God. Make that your resolve today.
