Every time your dream becomes a reality it create a sense of perfection in an imperfect world. It was not a perfect world when Henry Ford invented the automobile. It was not a perfect world when Bill Gates changed the world of office application software. It was not a perfect world when the Wright Brothers invented the plane to create the perfect idea for flying. It was not a perfect world when Sam Walton created the Walmart chain of stores which is now accessible to the majority of Americans.
Look at everything around you; from your clothes to your phone. Then think about how you got here this night. Some flew, some drove. What about the homes you came from, the airport you departed from, and the millions of things that you saw on your way here. And finally think about where you are right now in this moment. All these things and places started in the minds of people who turned a dream into reality.
“Your dream is a credential for a perfect future.”
So what is your dream? And how can you turn the invisible to the visible by your dreams? This process will require the discipline of focusing on your dream until it becomes your obsession. I will also later explain the importance of striving consciously to associate ourselves with thoughts, relationships, and environments that help to transform our dreams into reality.
In the words of Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich, “Christianity is the greatest potential power in the world today because its founder was an intense dreamer who had the vision and the imagination to see realities in their mental and spiritual form before they had been transmuted into physical form.”
I agree with him because Christians are often referred to as ’people of faith’. The Bible defines faith as the substance of the things hoped for (expectation), the evidence (proof) of things not seen, Hebrews 11:1. In other words, your future is the expectation; your dream is the evidence of that future not yet seen, and your dream is the substance of that future.
Remember, there is a perfect future in an imperfect world. And it is your dream that connects you to it. This is the only means of creating a perfect future in an imperfect world. Your future can only be as perfect as your dreams are. But when you have that dream, you already have the proof of your future to come.
